  • [100 Season 3 to have a spinoff?!]

The Spinoff will start with the destruction of the world of The 100. The First Commander and the Nightbloods.

Will they recreate everything up to Lexa's demise?

Or a more explanatory series for The 100 so they can drop the introductory line of the Grounder History?

    • IIRC, that was a possibility JR had mentioned back around 3x07 before the ratings continued plummeting. My guess is it's off the table now.

    • It could have been possible maybe the middle of the first season but now, too little too late.

    • What they could do as somewhat of a spinoff is just tell us all that Season 3 isn't canon and than just try again lol from after the Mount Weather massacre, they just restart season 3 and give it another go ahaha

That is the only way I'd be willing to watch Season Four (or a spin-off).

They do reboots all the time for movies. It's high time someone does a reboot on a TV show that was initially fantastic in order to save it from early cancellation. Hell, if they did that, they would be truly "revolutionary" and it would be some more free marketing right there.

      How? Dream? A.L.I.E's predictions?

    • I would love a The 100 spinoff. Especially if it gets into Grounder Politics. I'm super hyped now, and it's not even confirmed!!!

Nope. In my imagination I picture them just outright telling us "Look guys, we screwed up. Let's just pretend none of that happened. We'll try again next year with a new season 3" lol

I agree. I honestly can't see myself watching season 4 otherwise at this point. Instead I think I'll just rewatch seasons 1 and 2 and cry and mourn how good this show used to be. My God, it was so good. One of the best on TV in my opinion. It was so good *cries*

    • I think I would love either a spinoff or for it to be revealed that s3 was all a horrible nightmare Clarke had while sleeping in the three months after s2, and she's gotta make sure s3 doesn't happen that way.

I loved season 2. And you're totally right, that massacre could've definitely been avoided, but Kane even told Cage "we can donate the blood marrow" and Cage wasn't even willing to listen to him. If Clarke had kept Dante alive, and if Dante had been willing to make a negotiation of some kind, etc, things would've gone differently, but the massacre provided great television. I've never seen such a choice on television before, such a choice where there is no right answer, and the stakes are super high.

    • I think it would be really cool if they did a lexa backstory all about how she became the commander the war with queen nia and costia about her and her fellow nightbloods and why she wouldn't talk about what happend when she was in bed with Clark in episode 7 season 2.

    • What they really need to do is do a remake a few years down the road. Cut all the relationships bullshit/Crap, and make it more about surviving the apocalypse. Get rid of the ALIE story arc, and have them find out about the second apocalypse a different way. Keep Lexa's Death, because it's an important pivotal part of the story. I don't think they should do a spin off, because honestly none really last long, and are terrible compared to the regular show. With the trouble the original show is having right now with rattlings, I think it'd be too risky to do a spinoff that could cause the downfall of the original show.
