Bellamy's attempt to free Finn could not have been more poorly planned. You don't make a full frontal assault on a superior enemy, especially when that enemy is on a horse and you're standing on the ground; as well as when the guy you're trying to save is tied behind the horse and is likely to get dragged. It was a noble effort, but one that needed a better strategy.
Bellamy acts on impulse. I can understand his attacking Murphy, but it wasn't a smart thing to do. He has to learn to restrain himself. Finn has always been more restrained, but I wonder how he will treat Murphy after what Raven went through. I hear there are some changes coming for this character, too.
Kane's proclamation at the drop ship about rules and laws is the opposite of Bellamy's "Whatever the hell we want". Kane made it quite clear that Bellamy is no longer in charge. It will be interesting to see how these two clash in the future.
Bellamy has come a long way, though. At the beginning of season 1, his only concern was for himself and Octavia. He didn't care who else got hurt as long as he could carry out his own personal agenda. Now we see that he has come to care for those he calls "his people", and he's willing to risk himself to find and rescue them.
Abby is still going to defy Kane if she thinks he's wrong, and there is no hesitation when it comes to saving her daughter. However, sending this little group of untrained young people to go up against the grounders seems like a weak plan. I hope Finn will be a better strategist than Bellamy was.
It looks like Abby will pay dearly for her defiance. It appears that Kane will be a ruthless leader. Jaha better get there in a hurry.
It's interesting that we see the Lincoln Memorial at the entrance to Lincoln's village. I always wondered about that name for this grounder.
Finally, could Thomas Mcdonell look more cute with blood and dirt all over his face? His good looks just can't be muted as long as he's got that beautifully sculptured nose and all that great hair.
